Remember simulated dementia?
Today was similarly insular.
Vaseline-smeared goggles,
Gurgling headsets, spiked inserts.
In an instant the list’s forgotten,
lead eyelids, ears stuffed with cotton,
So not ten seconds in, I quit.
Afterward, I read the comment about me
“The whole time, she just followed Joe.”
